Full Description
1874-5. DESIGNED IN THE GOTHIC STYLE BY LOCAL ARCHITECT JOHN GREEN HALL WITH ATTRACTIVE SYMMETRICAL LINES. THE FORECOURT WAS PROVIDED BY THE DEMOLITION OF ST MARY MAGDELENE (WHOSE TOWER SURVIVES). THE SYMMETRY OF THE ORIGINAL CHURCH WAS SPOILT BY THE 1962 EXTENSION.
