Monument record TQ 75 NE 12 - Tile kiln found pre 1928, Abbey Farm, Boxley

Summary

tile-kiln built of broken tiles was found pre 1928. It was probably associated with the Abbey, half a mile distant and contained a large pan with traces of metals. Some of the tiles were glazed and other had encaustic design. The finds are on display in Maidstone Museum.
