Monument record TR 26 SE 40 - Crouched inhumation burial, Sarre

Summary

A crouched inhumation burial was found during work to improve the drainage of Sarre in 1991. The burial is of unknown date due to a lack of datable materials. The skeleton was that of a large male adult, and was positioned in a shaft 1.2m deep. It was found in a sitting position with the knees drawn up to the chest and forearms tucked between the thighs and calves.
