Findspot record TQ 75 NE 122 - Hoard of gold and silver coins found in Lower Stone Street, Maidstone
Summary
A pot containing four gold and four hundred and ninety-nine silver coins was found by workmen during road widening operations in Lower Stone Street, opposite the Granada Cinema adjoining the former Maidstone and District Bus Station and can be assumed to be on the site of the former number 18, demolished in 1939. The coins range from Henry V to Henry VII.
