Summary

Medieval pottery kiln found in Week Street in 1921. The precise location is not known. Medieval pottery kiln identified during building work in Week Street, Maidstone in 1922. Part of the kiln structure including the dome measuring 4 feet across, kiln furniture and wasters were recorded. Some of the finds were given to Maidstone Museum. The kiln is thought to be 14th century in date.
