Monument record TQ 76 NW 351 - Late Roman Building, 35 High Street, Rochester

Summary

During improvements to the existing building in 2001, the remains of a late Roman building, c.275 to 350 AD, including mortared ragstone wall and floors and an opus signinum floor, were discovered. The exact function of the building is unclear, but it was possibly a town house.
