Monument record TQ 67 SE 236 - The Round Tree (Site of) & Obelisk (Site of?), Gravesend Canal Basin
Summary
The Round Tree was a boundary marker for coal duties of the Port of London at the north west corner of the canal basin. The tree blow down in a storm in 1825 and a stone obelisk was erected as a replacement. It is unclear if the obelisk survives.
