Monument record TR 15 NW 658 - Post-Medieval Building Foundations (19 Stour Street, Canterbury)
Summary
In Spring 1985 an excavation took place beneath the floor of 19 Stour Street. Roman and medieval features were recorded but on the post-medieval levels were fully excavated. These consisted of a series of sprung-timber, clay, trampled earth and rubble floors with internal dwarf walls of flint and mortar.
