Summary
A disused quarry at Piercefield Shaw, Lamberhurst was surveyed as part of a programme of archaeological work prior to construction of the A21 Lamberhurst bypass in 2002. The quarry appears on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map of c.1858-1873. The quarry consisted of a series of cuts, was c.90m by 90m in size, reaching a depth of up to 4m. No finds or features were recorded.
