Monument record TQ 57 SE 373 - Bow Arrow Hospital (Site of)

Summary

Isolation Hospital built by Dartford Rural District Council in 1893. Originally comprised a brick administration block and temporary corrugated-iron ward pavilions. It was subsequently extended until there were seven ward blocks on the site, as well as the administration block, nurses' home, boiler house and laundry and a small chapel. All the buildings have now been demolished and a new housing development built on the site,
