Summary
A Bronze Age Palstave axe was found in January 1962 during work to level a lawn at Court Green, (formerly Old Culverden Castle). The Palstave was identified as of Curwen's type B but without loop or decoration. It had a heavy patination and the ends of the cutting edge are damaged; otherwise it was in fair condition.
