Building record TQ 67 SW 247 - Possible Gatehouse or Factory Building, (Kent Kraft Estate)
Summary
A small brick-built range, fronting onto an east-west internal road formerly opening onto Galley Hill Road. The building probably dates to the earlier 20th century, appearing on the 3rd edition OS map. Its size and position suggest a factory gatehouse or simply a small ancillary building. Presently in use by Boxrite Hydraulics, the building has gables to the east and west, the western concealed behind a later shed, brick walls in Flemish bond and a three course eaves band. A wide door opening, divided internally, lies off centre to the facade, and the windows are assortment of styles and dates but where original, have segmental heads. The roof is felt and battened and missing its original covering.
Location accurate to 2m based on available information.
