Summary

Remains of tramway surving in chalk pit(s). The tramway would have supplied the Portland Cement Works to the north and later in the 1920's -30's the southern quarry extension.

Full Description

Tramway surving quarrying south of the Hill, Northfleet. Evidence of the curving early 20th route of the eastern tramway survives as hardstanding, although no track or other signs of the tramway remain. Two former tunnels survive.(1)
