Findspot record TQ 67 SW 471 - Possible Large Herbivore Fossil, Swanscombe Community School

Summary

During mitigation work and sieving of the Pleistocene gravels ahead of development at Swanscombe Community School, a few poorly preserved large faunal remains were uncovered. Only one of these was identifiable to a species and was an antler base from a Megaloceros Giganteus – an extinct giant deer. (location accurate to the nearest 50m based on available information)
