During construction work on housing development a Aylesford-Swarling type (late iron age c. 1st century BC - 43 AD) cremation burial was found. In association with the burial were a wooden box and a bucket, a terra nigra dish, a bronze strainer bowl and a jug with an elaborately decorated handle. There was no evidence of additional burials, although the excavators suggested that the burial would imply the presence of a high status settlement.

The burial is just to the north east of a later Romano-British road side settlement (TR 04 SW 117), approximately 800m east of a late iron age settlement (TQ 94 SE 37) and close to a findspot of early- mid iron age pottery (TR 04 SW 119). No further information about the burial or its goods are given.(1)
