Monument record TQ 75 NE 402 - Type 24 Pillbox, Whatman Park, Maidstone

Summary

A brick and concrete type 24 pillbox built close to the River Medway. It was built as part of the WW2 anti-invasion defences and formed part of the defences for Maidstone and the GHQ Stop line running from the Leigh to the Medway. It is now bricked up and is in fair condition.
