Monument record TQ 67 SW 268 - Remains of Building Foundations, Rear of 81-82 High Street, Gravesend

Summary

Located to the rear of 81-82 High Street, a basement of a building which was situated to the rear of the Hole in the Wall Public House. A flight of brick steps, underlined with slate, were recorded leading into the basement area. To the east a small section of brick wall cut into the chalk natural. Off this wall led a brick vaulted arch, possibly an access tunnel. No further details were recorded concerning this site.
