Monument record TQ 67 SW 274 - Remains of Building Foundations, Between 75-76 High Street, Gravesend

Summary

Large rectangular brick-lined basement divided into two sections and connected by a doorway. The basements had a depth of 2.5m into the natural chalk. The fill of the main larger basement, to the east, contained 18th century pottery, a clay tobacco-pipe stem and sherds from four early 16th century vessels.
