Monument record TQ 67 SW 278 - Remains of Building Foundations, Beneath 73 High Street, Gravesend
Summary
Rectangular brick-lined basement. At the east end a small cellar light or delivery trap door extended eastward under the footpath. There was evidence for two floors, the earlier red brick floor resting directly on the chalk natural probably dates to the first half of the 19th century and is the original floor to the basement.
