Summary

Site of the chapel of St. Lawrence at Longsole, often referred to as the Hermitage of Longsole, was first mentioned at the beginning of the 13th century. The lords of Allington Castle were the patrons; the Chapel was suppressed 1545-7. Nothing remains of the chapel at the site.
