Full Description

A section of a large circular ditch with associated gullies and post holes. The ditch likely to have formed a late bronze/early iron age enclosure about 20 m in diameter which would have enclosed the highest point of the hill. Four postholes, forming a curve, could represent a circular structure within the enclosure. A significant quantity of pottery was recovered representing around 30 vessels.Unstratified pottery dating to the mid and late iron age was found suggesting that occupation continued on the site or close by.
