Full Description
A bronze buckle, lacking the prong but with the two rivets for securing it to the belt, was found in the garden of Mrs C.P.M. Hart, of Norbury, Rochester Road, Aylesford. In Maidstone Museum, Acc No. 581955B [Compared to a buckle figured in Faussetts Inventorium Sepulchrale, Plate X, No. 4 - presumably Saxon.] (1) TQ 73365916. The exact find spot was pointed out to the Investigator by Mrs C.P.M. Hart in person. A.M. survey has been carried out. (2) Aylesford circa 1954, a bronze buckle was found in the garden of Norbury, Rochester Road. (3)
