Full Description
A wide linear hollow aligned northnortheast-southsouthwest which appears to be associated with a similar feature seen within the western side of the churchyard next door. (TQ 87 NW 3). Within the upper deposits no pottery or datable remains were observed suggesting a rapid backfilling after the base of the feature had silted up. A single sherd of 13th century pottery and two of mid to late 17th century were found in the lowest deposit of the feature. The function of this feature is unclear.(1)
