Summary
In 1962 during demolition of an old forge at the rear of Old Forge, East Malling, a fragment of a 2nd century large, wide mouthed jar was uncovered.
It is in store at Maidstone Museum.

Full Description
In store in Maidstone Museum is a fragment of a 2nd c AD large, wide-mouthed jar which was found by Dr Rose in 1962 in his garden at Old Forge, East Malling. It was unearthed at TQ 7013 5697 during the demolition of the old forge building at the rear of his house, and the find spot was indicated by Mrs. Rose
