A medium sized Mesolithic tranchet axe was found in New Hythe Lane, Larkfield. The find date is unknown but the axe may be part of the collection of implements found in the 1930s. It is kept at Maidstone Museum.

Full Description
TQ 710600 (sic). One Meduim sized mesolithic tranchet axe from New Hythe Lane, New Hythe is now in the Maidstone Museum. Information from R.M. Jacobi. (1) [New Hythe Lane, New Hythe is centred at TQ 70455925. This may be one of the implements found in the 1930s, see TQ 75 NW 45]. (2)
