Summary

An early medieval(Anglo Saxon) pottery sherd was found at an unspecified site in East Malling.It consists of the upper part of a shoulder boss vessel with a wide mouth. It is decorated with eight small round applied bosses and the panels are filled with short, vertical grooves. The type of ware is unrecorded. It is held in a private collection.
