Full Description

Excavations monitored in 2003 for groundworks for a new extension revealed 18 graves which were no longer identifiable on the surface. Four of these graves were found to underly the foundations of the southern side of the building or be disturbed by trenches for the foundations. 2 different fragments of Pottery found in two of these graves were identified and suggest dates from c.A.D. 1475 to 1675 for the graves which pre date the church.(1)
