Findspot record TR 36 NW 427 - Metal finds recovered by a metal detecting survey west of King Ethelbert's School, Westgate on Sea
Summary
In February 2007 a metal detecting survey was carried out on land west of King Ethelbert's School, Westgate on Sea. 49 finds were recovered which included a probable 4th century Roman coin, a denarius of Domitian and an Elizabeth I sixpence. The remainder of the finds were musket balls, and buttons. A walkover survey recovered q quantity of worked flint including cores, blades and scrapers dating from the Early Neollithic to Bronze Age.
