A significant number of pottery sherds datable to the Bronze/Iron Age were recovered. One degraded fragment of bone and a part of a mid to late Saxon copper alloy horse harness fitting was recovered. Two layers of of light brown colluvial clay were separated by a layer of much darker soil which was the probable remnant of of prehistoric cultivation terraces.(1)
