Monument record TR 23 NW 269 - Late Iron Age, late medieval and post medieval pottery and associated finds, found at Harvey Grammar School, Folkestone

Summary

Two machine-cut trenches, which revealed two post-medieval sand pits that had been back-filled with Iron Age ('Belgic') pottery sherds as well as Late medieval and post medieval pottery sherds, post-medieval peg tile, animal bone, iron objects and worked flint. Trench 1 dug to depth of c.0.94m and trench 2 dug to depth of 1.3m.
