Full Description
Founded as Sandgate National School in 1845, the building was later modified when it became the home of the First Cinque Ports Volunteer Artillery No 8 Company from 1866, used as a Drill Hall/Village Hall, before its final phase from the 1947 to 2003 as the base of the Sandgate Sea Cadets. In 2005 and in 2007, building surveys and a documentary survey were carried out ahead of the demolition of all standing buildings on the site. (1-2)
