BETHERSDEN THE STREET (north side) Bethersden Post Office and Village View

(Formerly listed as Bethersden Post Office and Wood Cottage)

GV II Early C19. Two storeys. Ground floor red brick with grey headers. First floor tile-hung.Hipped slate roof. Four sashes with glazing bars intact, including one in a recessed portion on the right, which is Village View. Simple doorcase and rectangular fanlight.

Originally the Post Office was located in this building as shown on the 1st Edition O/S map. It then moved to Jasmine House(TQ 94 SW 83) as shown on the 2nd and 3rd Edition O/S maps. It then moved back to its former location as shown on the current O/S map.
