Full Description

[TQ 75695220] A polished greenstone axe found in AD 1919. (1) A polished greenstone axe, 13.5 cms. in length and 5.5 cms. in width at the blade, was found in October, 1918, in a garden near a stream about 80 yards N. of Loose Church. It was in the possession of Mrs. Wolsely, Vale House, Loose, in August 1919. (2) No further information was gained in the field on the exact provenance or present whereabouts of this axe. (3)
