Findspot record TQ 75 SE 14 - Bronze Age Beaker found at Tovil, Maidstone

Summary

A Bronze Age beaker, a B2 or 'Burial' type, was found in 1892 on the south side of the Medway at Tovil when cutting a roadway down to the river from Church Road where Tovil Adult School stood (in 1928). No further information was obtained on this beaker which is on display in Maidstone Museum. It is possible that the beaker was found in what is now Beaconsfield Road.
