Monument record TQ 75 SE 16 - Romano British Burials, Tovil, Maidstone

Summary

Evidence for Romano-British burials were found in 1885 and 1905 at Tovil. Human skeletons and Roman pottery were found "on more than one occasion". No details of the discoveries are known. There are several small urns in Maidstone Museum; also, three coarse ware 2nd century jars, a flagon and a dish from "Constables Quarry", but no details of their discovery are known.
