The following text is from the original listed building designation:
APPLEDORE THE STREET 1. 5272 (east side) No 63 (Poplar Hail) TQ 9529 15/12 16.8.62. II 2. Late C18. 3 storeys and basement red brick. Hipped tiled roof and wooden paired bracket eaves cornice. Painted stringcourses. Three windows with most glazing bars intact. Doorcase with pilasters, open pediment and semi-circular fanlight.
