The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5344 GODINTON PARK Nos 1 and 2 (London Cottages) TQ 94 SE 5/141 24.9.51. II 2. These 2 cottages stand isolated in the centre of Godinton Park set back from the drive (The house itself is within the Civil Parish of Great Chart). A C15 timber-framed building with brick infilling. Consists of a recessed centre and 2 wings with overhanging 1st floor of which the ground floor of the east wing has been underbuilt in brick. Tiled roof with massive brick chimneystack. 2 storeys. 4 casement windows. Tall addition of 2 storeys and one window bay with gable over added to the east end of the building in the C19.
