The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5344 BALL LANE (North-West Side) Glovers TR 04 NW 4/93 24.9.51. II GV 2. C16 timber-framed cottage restored and enlarged. Original portion 2 storeys, 2 windows. Ground floor partly refaced with red brick. 1st floor overhangs on the protruding ends of the floor joists. Curved braces on the 1st floor. Hipped tiled roof. Casement windows. At the east end is a C17 wing of 2 storeys and 3 windows. Ground floor red brick, above tile hung. Casement windows. Modern wing to the north.
Glovers. Clyde Cottage and Snowdrop Cottage form a group, the latter 2 being of local interest only.
