The following text is from the original listed building designation:
TQ 93 SE WAREHORNE CHURCH ROAD (south side) 5/156 Headstone to Richard Jervis, about 10 metres south-west of church of St. Matthew GV II Headstone. Richard Jervis, sone of Robart ( sic ), d.1726. About 2 feet high with raised and fielded panel to rocaille scrolled head with scrolled floriate cornice, and winged hourglass with crossed torches.
