A timber framed house with a formerly open 3-bay hall with an elaborate roof construction. The existing lower end is mid 16th century and comprises a 2-bay cross wing of 2-storeys with a cellar. This wing was jettied at the front, rear and side. In the late 16th or early 17th century a timber stack was inserted to heat the upper hall which was floored over and partitioned off from the rest. The remaining 2-bay hall thus created may not have been floored over until 1714.(3)
