Gate Lodge. Mid C19. Channelled stucco with scalloped slate roof. 2 storeys on plinth: coved parapet with octagonal corner turrets and cupolas, supported on demi-figure brackets. Gabled parapet roof; a knight with standard surmounts gable finial to right; rear stacks to left and right. One 3-light Dering window with labels to both floors to left, and one single-light Derling window to both floors to right. Central board door in 2 storey projecting porch with parapet gables and 3 finials chamfered arch, drip mould, and single light with drip mould over. The gable has a crown and motto, and carved grotesque corbel supporting central finial. May be attributed to William Burn, who designed adjacent Tower, 1848.
