The following text is from the original listed building designation:
TQ 93 SE WAREHORNE CHURCH ROAD (south side) Chest tomb and 5/157 headstone about 15 metres south west of church of St. Matthew GV II Chest tomb and headstone. Tomb to Richard Foord, d.1818, and family. Originally railed base with moulded plinth, raised and fielded side panels with cut-out corners, ovolo-moulded incised piers and inscribed top slab. Inclined against it the headstone to Mary Hodges, d.1709, about 2 1/2 feet high, with incised panel, and segmental head on scrolled shoulders with lily and skull and bones motifs.
