The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5272 CHARING EGERTON ROAD Charing Heath Yew Tree Farmhouse (formerly listed as River House and River Cottage) TQ 94 NW 10/67 14.2.67 II 2. Probably C17. Two storeys red brick. Tiled roof, half-hipped to west. Brick stringcourse. Three casement windows, with small diamond leaded panes to those on the first floor. The west elevation has been refaced with modern wavy-edged weatherboarding.
