Summary

Grade II listed building. Main construction periods 1400 to 1999 Founded 1432, occupied by 1448, altered 1739. The college was founded in in 1432 by Cardinal Archbishop John Kempe, the buildings were occupied by 1448. The original college consisted of this cloister, containing the domestic ranges and great hall, a detached school house and service building. The cloister buildings are timber framed on a flint base are are clad with red brick, with some structural flint and red brick. The roofs are of plain tile. Alterations have been carried out in the late 16th century, the 17th century, 1739 and the 20th century. The buildings became an agricultural college in 1892 and are now part of University College London.
