Full Description

The following text is from the original listed building designation:
TR 03 NW ALDINGTON FRITH ROAD (north side) 3/34 Goodwin Farmhouse II House. C16 origin, altered C18 and extended late C20. Timber framed and clad with painted brick on ragstone base with weather board to return and tile hanging and red brick to rear elevations. Plain tiled roof. Possible four bay hall house origin. Two storeys and garret on plinth. The left end bays recessed slightly, with older (?) brickwork. Hipped roof with filleted stack cluster to left, and stack projected at end right. Raking dormer on left return. Four wooden casements on 1st floor and 3 on ground floor with door of 6 panels, the top 2 glazed in open hipped porch. Interior: full frame visible. Tie beams with mortice holes (for crown post?). Large scantling beams. Inglenook fireplace. Rear extension (full height), late C20.
