The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5272 LITTLE CHART THE STREET Mill Cottage TQ 9446 27/110 14.2.67. II 2. C16 or earlier timber-framed cottage with plaster infilling, except the first floor of the east front which has roughcast infilling with curved braces and oversails on the protruding ends of the floor joists and brackets. Hipped tiled roof. Two storeys. Three casements facing north, one a sash with glazing bars intact.
