The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5272 PLUCKLEY DOWLE STREET ROAD Dowle Street Farmhouse TQ 94 SW 14/135 14.2.67. II 2. L-shaped building. The north wing is probably C17 refaced with stucco. Two storeys. Hipped tiled roof with heavy modillion eaves cornice and stringcourse. Three Dering windows with cambered brick head linings above the round-headed lights, with keyblocks at the angles and in the centre of the heads. Doorcase with flat hood on scroll brackets. The south wing is C18. Two storeys red brick and grey headers. Tiled roof. Modillion eaves cornice. Three casement windows. Similar doorcase.
