CHILHAM THE STREET (north side) Bakery House and Evern House

(Formerly listed as Bakery House and Brown's Kitchen Shop, HIGH STREET)

GV II House and former shop. Mid C19. House: red brick with plain tile roof. 2 storeys and cellar. Gabled roof with projecting end stack left. 3 sash windows to first floor. 2 sashes to ground floor with gauged heads, 6 panelled door to right with pilasters and cornice over. Former shop: chequered brick with plain tile roof. 2 storeys with eaves bracket cornice to hipped roof, with right end stack. 2 sash windows with gauged heads to first floor. C19 shop front, with fluted pilasters, plate glass windows, and recessed double doorways, with awning and hood over. Included for group value only.
