Full Description

The following text is from the original listed building designation:
TR 03 NE SMEETH CHURCH ROAD (east side) Church House 4/115 27.11.57 GV II House. 1801 with C18 or earlier rear wing. Rendered with slate roof, with painted brick and tile hung rear wing with plain tiled roof. Main block: 2 storeys on plinth (with some rubble to base), with rusticated ground floor and plat band. Wide eaved hipped roof with stacks to rear. Regular fenestration of 3 glazing bar sashes on 1st floor, and tripartite sashes on ground floor in 2 projecting early C20 bays. Central door of 6 raised and fielded panels with semi-circular fanlight and with moulded steps to fine trellised porch with intricate chinoiserie detailing and tented leaden roof. Rear wing at right angles, of 2 storeys with hipped roof, with leaded wooden casements and glazing bar sash, and catslide outshot to rear.
