The following text is from the original listed building designation:
TQ 93 SE WAREHORNE CHURCH ROAD (south side) 5/153 Chest tomb to Hodges family, about 2 metres south of Church of St. Matthew GV II Chest tomb. Hodges family, 1731 and on and family. Moulded and incised top slab on baluster piers with raised and fielded side panels. Top slab with Coat of Arms and inscription to Frances Newman Hodges, d.1731.
